At the heart of our mission is the Next Steps Program, designed to give every dog entering our care the tools they need for a successful future. This program combines rescue, rehabilitation, and foundational training to ensure that each dog not only feels safe but is also equipped with the essential skills to thrive in a permanent home.

We take dogs into this program that have been neglected, abandoned, abused, or otherwise in need. We also understand that many dogs mentally decline in shelters everywhere, and the longer they stay, the more their suffering continues. This is where we step in. 

Upon intake, each dog is assessed by our team to create a personalized care and training plan. We focus on essential skills such as leash walking, house training, basic commands, and positive social interactions. For dogs with behavioral challenges, we provide gentle, consistent behavior modification with the help of an experienced trainer.

Our goal is to improve adoptability and ensure long-term placement success, ensuring that every dog leaves our program with greater confidence, better manners, and a brighter future.
